CLUBHOUSE

The clubhouse is the centre of our shore-based activities. It has a friendly bar,a large clubroom, professional kitchen, meetings room, toilets and showers. Christine, our cook, provides excellent meals at low prices at weekends, Bank Holidays and club events. Members can dine or lunch singly or host parties of friends.

Throughout the year we have a wide range of activities. More formal events include an annual dinner/dance and the Commodore's Autumn party to welcome new members.

The Club House is available to members 08.00-20.00 and when the bar is open.

 


SLIPWAYS, SCRUBBING DOCKS, MOORINGS ETC

The club has two slipways, two scrubbing docks, two tender parks, space for winter storage and about 120 river moorings. The club owns 2 tractors and a 10-ton boat hoist. A trot boat is available for use by members. Hoo Marina, adjacent to the club, has full workshop and brokerage services.

No.1 Dock is out of commission for the time being.

No.2 Dock is suitable for most boats over spring tides and boats of 1m draught or less over neap tides. Check tide tables and tide gauge on the dock before use. This dock also has a mast stepping derrick and is due to be extended for bigger boats.

Dock 3

No.3 Dock has the same tide range as No.2 Dock but has a wider base making it suitable for medium sized catamarans as well as monohulls.

Docks 2 and 3 are supplied with water and electricity with connectors suitable for the club pressure washer. The concrete bases are at 4 metres above chart datum.
