How to Join the Club
Application for Membership
If you're thinking about becoming a member, or just want to learn more about Hoo Ness Yacht Club, then you're in the right place.
Our website offers many pictures of our club and information regarding our services, facilities and fees. If you feel HNYC would be a good fit for you, or you just want to find out more, you are welcome to contact HNYC's Membership Secretary, Russell Weller (memsec@hooness.org.uk) who will be pleased to discuss any details with you, including how to arrange a visit to the club.
Due to Covid-19, prospective members are requested to contact Russell Weller prior to visiting the Club.

The completed form should be sent to the above address. When your application is received it will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard for at least 14 days, after which you will be invited to visit the Club for an informal interview. Your application will be discussed at the next meeting of the General Committee; if the application is accepted you will be invoiced for your first year's fees. If the application is declined you will be informed accordingly.
Membership Fees for 2021 (please note - all fees are renewed annually on Jan 1st. Members joining after 1st July pay a reduced rate in their first year).

Notes:
- Boats kept on the River Medway must display an MPA licence disc. These may be purchased through the Club, by HNYC members only, at a discount to the Port Authority rate.
- All moorings include one free-of-charge tender park dinghy rack or designated storage area.

Notes:
- Laying up Winter, between 1st Oct and 31st March - Mooring holders pay a maximum of 5 months in respect of the boat associated with the mooring. The full charges apply to any additional boat.
- Laying up Summer, between 1st April to 30th September - Mooring holders free of charge in respect of the boat associated with the mooring. The full charges apply to any additional boat.
- Hoist - Boats up to 9 tons in weight and up to 10’9” beam. Hoist is booked via an online Slip diary.
- HNYC tractors may not be used off Club premises.
- A period of 2 weeks (i.e. 2 spring tides) free storage ashore, for emergencies, is available to members.
PLEASE NOTE. All joint or part owners of a boat must be Full members of the Club by way of Single or Family membership.
