How to Join the Club

Application for Membership

Contact the Hon Membership Secretary - Gary Northam, Hoo Ness Yacht Club, Vicarage Lane, Hoo, Rochester, Kent ME3 9LB, e-mail memsecathooness.org.uk or call on 07702 599 113.

The completed form, accompanied by a cheque payable to Hoo Ness YC for the joining fee of 100, should be sent to the above address. When your application is received it will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard for at least 14 days, after which you will be invited to visit the Club for an informal interview. Your application will be discussed at the next meeting of the General Committee; if the application is accepted you will be invoiced for your first year's fees. If the application is declined, your joining fee will be returned.

Membership Fees for 2016 (please note - all fees are renewed annually on Jan 1st. Members joining after June pay a reduced rate in their first year.)

* A Family membership comprises two Full Members plus their children to age 18

Mooring Fees for 2016

Boats kept on the River Medway must display an MPA licence disc. These may be purchased through the Club, by HNYC members only, at a discount to the Port Authority rate.

Laying-up and Storage on Club Land

Tender on rack in tender park £19 p.a.
Sailing dinghy on trolley in grounds £119 p.a.
Cradle/trailer storage £68 p.a.
Winter lay-up Oct 1st to 31st March, min 1 month (max 5 months for mooring holders) £34pm up to 24ft, larger pro rata
Summer lay-up Apr 1st to 30th Sept, min 1 month £34pm up to 24ft, larger pro rata
Motor or Sail trailable boat , same fees as winter/summer lay-ups. £34pm up to 24ft, larger pro rata

TRACTORS MAY NOT BE USED OUTSIDE CLUB LAND

A period of 2 weeks (i.e. 2 spring tides) free storage ashore, for emergencies, is available to members

PLEASE NOTE. All joint or part owners of a boat must be Full members of the Club by way of Single or Family membership.
