About Our Social Activities!

The House Committee, under the direction of The Vice Commodore organize our social program which is varied and ranges from a Family Fun Day and BBQ's to the more formal occasions, Fitting Out and Laying Up Dinners, Commodores Evening, Last Night At The Proms and our black tie dinner with the annual awards presentation evening.

We also have our less formal occasions, a quiz night and a sea shanty evening, Christmas and New Years Eve parties. All these events and more, are run in house.

Hoo Ness Yacht Club is also proud to support a number of charities, and social events are run in order to raise funds. We have an annual RNLI auction where The Commodore and his Vice act as auctioneers, a Macmillan Coffee Morning and we organize and run a Disabled Sailing Day each year.

We have a fully licensed bar and it is open at lunchtimes on weekdays, and all day over the weekends including Friday and Saturday evenings. The galley is fully equipped up to professional catering standards, and hot food is available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays cooked by our own chef. Full members, with prior arrangement with The Vice Commodore, are able to use the club facilities for their own functions at no cost.

For more information contact our Vice Commodore.
